Easter-maniacPosted by LindaN in Rambling, tags: acting, easter, easteregg, egg, firealarm, firemen, firetruck, joke, kids, role, story, students, treasure-hunt, witchWow! today sure was some day! Started with the joy of waking up at 4.30, oh how I love early mornings..NOT! Well, traffic at least was ok and for once I had remembered to bring phonenumber to the two childcareplaces we pick school’s childcare kids from. Only a kid on one place and since i called he was ready to go when i got there. Once in place I only ended up with 3 kids that i sent down for breakfast that school-chief is responsible for. This..was promising to be a niiice calm morning! Let’s say.. I REALLY shouldn’t have thought that..Heard the expression famous last words..?
Handyman came by for a chat when.. *BEEPbeepBEEP* Shiiit! The firealarm! No older students that could be doing mischief and doors locked except those i used.. this could be for real! Ran down to school-restaurant, got the kids out fast (don’t care if you got no shoes, ground is dry!) got them out Through closest door (the one only able to open from inside), checked and no flames so i placed a stone holding door a bit open and waited while prepared to move.. Kids took it fairly well, if even a bit wired up and to make sure they didn’t panic i spun them (on joke and they knew it) a story about easterwitch doing mischief, fun they thought! Remembered that door into childcare was unlocked and started to worry that some of the kids I expected would drop in so when I got sight on a parent on way to leave her kid i yelled for her and asked her to check so no one was waiting outside. Almost directly the firetruck arrived and I told the firemen what few persons I knew was in school that early and asked them to check that no one had come in since I was after all expecting more students. So, there I stood with my now 5 kids, 6-years all, that thought that firetruck and firemen was soo cool, almost a fun morning! LOL Luckerly enough it was a false alarm so we could go back in. Just wished that one of the firemen hadn’t joked with kids and told them to play mischief with teacher.. Yes mr, you’re 2 m long and goodlooking but..that gives you no forgivness, they are 6 years old, they come up with enough of such ideas on their own and need no encouragement from a hero! LOL Oh well, kids loved it and I guess It was to make kids feel ok
Later more coworkers arrived and the big “paint kiddies faces for Maundy Thursday” began until it was time for lunch. The others got the kids away and that.. was my clue to.. get ready to turn into acting an easter witch to visit kids with story that would get them on treasure-hunt for the easter-egg! Very exciting and kids loved that I truly played the role of slightly evil witch with a spun story, connected to fieldtrip on tuesday, about what witch Petronella had done with Linda and a funny one about it being witch-friend Agda that had started alarm to steal kids breakfast, impossible woman there! So..egg got found, candy was given and when Linda returned a story about how i escaped was told. And yes, we got another false alarm but this time we knew about broken alarmthing and how to stop firemen after we had checked.
Now.. it was time for me to leave.. for..easter food, wine and candyshopping, on a Maundy Thursday.. what a NOT timed well day to shop.. Everyone was getting stuff for easter so yes, it took some time to say the least.. Decided I would not allow me to get stressed and thereby got some ideas from other not stressed ones and ended up with greek-inspired tapas and lots of other yummys for food. Must say it was more than expected not stressed ones but we still where in clear minority. Talking about the stressed ones.. Hehe.. do you know how mad you can drive such mad if you walk and give them serence smiles while looking sooo relaxed.. Yes, I know, almost evil LOL!
Once home I managed to break BOTH paperbags but there are angels out there, a man on a stoll saw it and helped me carry in arm so i got them to my door, sweet angel! Traditional swedish meatballs as I as swede grow up with Simple, ordinary, good! Traditional meatballs that taste great and are easy to build. The recipe is for 4 people. * 200 grams minced pork Follow these steps: 30-40 pieces Mix the milk with the breadcrumbs and let soak a few minutes. Peel and finely chop the onion. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and stir into a smooth batter. You may allow the batter to stand and rest a while before you handle it. Roll into round balls and place on a platter or cutting board. Wet your hands to make it easier to roll the buns. Fry them in butter / margarine into a large skillet. Start by frying at medium temperature and then lower to low heat and allow the buns to be completely done. Time depends on the size of the buns. But at slightly lower heat, it usually takes 50-10 minutes to cook. Serve with classic mashed potatoes, gravy and lingonberries. Or with with pasta, salad and grated cheese. Or why not make a meatball sandwich? A day up north.. Linda wanna build Started by for once waking up pretty early. Well, that is if a dishwasher-stiff, halfopened eyes and zoombie-awarense can be called awake :-/ But, that me in mornings and after surviving climbing down from bunkbed at roof without breaking any legs or ripping off any female attributes I wobbled down to the big cabin for coffee, enjoying foot bridge and not getting wet feets, niiiice! Well, enjoying until the halfzombie, wholestiff being went down the step.. *crunch!* Think i just stepped over a cliffsend and made powder of legs..We must have been reaaallly sick of building for me to accept such high steps! *doh* Grumled over it, drunk some coffe while considering how to change that and got my eyes on wood left and decided that i was a big girl now, know how it could be made and saved by metod, ugly but fast! Started drawing, building with pieces of wood etch to see how i wanted it etch and had a generally blast doing it! Perhaps this could be made before lunch and then picking up relatives for goecashing? Yepp, I AM optimistic/unrealistic *lol* So, plan was made and tested without any broken legs so it must be alright, didn’t it? All I needed now now was for Anders to wake up so i could start without waking him up. Isn’t he up yet? Drunk some coffee and considered letting him waking up with one cup without building-noice. Isn’t he up yet? changed and retried plan, isn’t he up yet? He got up 2 minuts after i started considering at leas sawing so forget a calm cup of coffee! well, at least I didn’t demand him to work. Started building and after some coffee Anders realised it wasn’t pretty (hey! 2 weeks ago i got a confused look if holding a hammer, what do you expect! *lol*) and had me rebuild. Oki..much better looking and so on but also muuuuch longer time doing.. Of cause we where not finished in time for lunch and picking up relatives! “Treasure hunting” and finding such a sweet heart-warming gift! Managed to get to relatives, my oncle with his wife and their 12 year old son, in time and off we went! First cash was on an old skimpy grovel road that made me worried it would work with our car. Turned out to be a totally unknowed without sighn from road historical landmark from invasion by the russians in 1809! Cool! A bit odd cash also, was in a fake birdhouse! Off again and driving round until we got a a tiiiny grovel road from which we had a steep long hike over boulders until we got to it. Was a bit hard to find since koordinated where wrong but found it and it sure was worth it since the view from up there was amazing! And OMG!! The treasure was the sweetest, most heatwarming one could find! Maker of it had made some gifts for the first ones finding it with the cutest note! (se at end) Sure was a bit envious over coisine that got it but was his first so i was happy to let him. Cooffee and cake and off to next another walk from there. This time Anders went ahead with coisine since the boy had started to grumle of him not finding any and now would get a headstart. Not that it was hard to get ahead since the rest of us truly took chance of putting blueberrys in mouth and just had to stop for awhile when finding some wild rasberrybushes, yummy! And yes, Kid was helped to “find it on his own..” And guess what that one also containded!? Yepp! Another gift with same note! Oki, now i really wanted it so i convinced (read begged) coisine to sacrifice (off cause he will get something in returnlater) a thing to exchange so i also got one. The note on gift said : “This is a very special gift, that you can never see. The reason it’s so special, is it’s just for you from me. Whenever you are lonely, or even feeling blue. You only have to hold this gift and know i think of you. You never can unwrap it, please leave the ribbon tied. Just hold the box close to your heart, it’s filled with with love inside.” Purpose: Refresh-dive, time since last dive was for me since last year and two years ago since for Anders It felt really ok, ok surprised at considering how little I’ve dived these last few years! Trim was nice but I fussed a bit with boyancy due to to much weight on belt and..part to little dived also ;-/. How darn hard it was to guess the weight I would have when it seems that if I change my weight to the bottle every time according to logbook! Hmm, typing form & weight and more precisely what I have on me would maybe be an idea to make regular assessments easier … I saw some small blue starfish, a submerged stone to fasten boats in on sand out & a bit to the righ right from the bridge, many fine shells, stickleback, pipefish, goldsinnys, possibly a medium sized Ballan wrasse, goby, a mask that was a bit shaggy & red in the middle and bald and golden on the sides? ? Green crab and a crab sittin in/on a jellyfish that it ate, looked pretty fun out when the crab was far smaller than jellyfish! * Lol * Thermocline layer today was pretty cool disorienting, as liquid cooking oil in the water, also gave an odd illusion how the stone-pier looked like. Pretty cool, especially when a giant schools of sticklebacks swam in it! What was good was that the left side of floating bridge now was as made for me to go in and out and take on the fins for short me, nice! Yes, and that for once to silt sliiiightly less than Anders was not bad for sense of confidence either, especially since it’s almost always the other way around * lol * A really nice dive and dear lord so nice it was be able to afford to pressure test tubes and to be able to get into the water again! This is a set with photos of of our old boat that’s för sale. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lindanormark/sets/72157623801975149/ Länk till annonsen på blocket http://www.blocket.se/goteborg/Zodiac_550_Pro_Open__00_27068863.htm Ingredients for 2 portions : * Yellow onion, 1 small or half a large * 1-2 clefts of garlic * 1/2 a pepper * Oil for frying * 1-2 tsk chili powder * 1 tablespoon tomato puree * A hint of meatbroth (can be skipped for true vegetarian) * Vegetable stock * 150 gram (1/2-1/3 can) crushed tomatos * 2 teaspoons (10 millilitre) of brown sugar/Farin sugar * 2 millilitre/ 2 kryddmått salt * A tablespoon of beans dressing * Half a can (ca 130 gram) of kidneybeans in chili dressing, I used mark Go Green’s.
